C1 – first day of competition

During the first day of competition (C1), competitors must assemble a robot and complete qualification tasks. Assembly must be completed before the qualification runs that took place on the same day C1 after lunch.

Each team performs the assembly of the structure and installation of the robot electronics from scratch: the whole structure is completely disassembled, there are no electrical connections. The video below shows how the teams of Japan, Russia, Korea and China performed the assembly and installation of the robot.

Qualification races included three different tasks that the team had to demonstrate to experts within 30 minutes. The completion of the qualification task consists of performing individual actions by the mobile robot, and before each next action, the participant tells the expert what will be done by the robot and after the appropriate expert command the robot must execute the necessary command.
